William DeJong

On Saturday December 13, 2025 the Lord called home his faithful servant, William De Jong at the age of 80 years old. William will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 59 years, Margie and their children: Paul (Kathryn), Scott (Patsy), Duane (Natasha) and Michelle (Jeff). William was the proud and loving Grandpa to Colton, Carter, Jesse (Joanna), Aaron (Emily), Karinna (Matt), Reid, Francisco, Louise, Chelsey (Eric), Emily, Brayden, Ciara, Isabella, Tim, Ashley (Jeff), Christa and Nathan (Rachel). Great Grandpa to Hailey, Madison, Elise, Harper, Eleanor, Christopher, Mackenzie, Gabe, and Addison.

William loved his sisters, Ann Okkema, Siska Plat, Helen Brouwer, Margaret (John) Rumble, Sherry De Jong and brothers, George (Margaret) de Jong and Al (Jackie) De Jong and sisters-in-law Edith Spooner, Karen Van Rheenen, Margaret (Roger) Young and Sylvia (Andre) Hooghiem. William’s family of siblings and in-laws was very important to him. He will be missed by both family and friends.

William was predeceased by his parents, Raymond and Shirley De Jong, parents-in-law Tony and Corrie Van Rheenen, brothers-in law Orval Okkema, Pete Plat, Harry Brouwer, David Spooner, Peter Van Rheenen, brother John De Jong and grandchildren Daneil, Micah and Ethan.

Visitation will take place at the Maranatha Christian Reformed Church (735 Frontenac Cresent, Woodstock, ON) on Thursday December 18th from 7:00 – 9:00 pm and Friday December 19th from 10:00 – 10:45 am. The funeral service will take place at 11:00 am at the Maranatha Church and will be followed by a time of fellowship and a light lunch.
